Mississippi Mills United (MMU) is a year-round soccer club offering youth programs in the area of Almonte, Perth, Smiths Falls and Carleton Place. MMU was founded with a vision to improve grassroot soccer development, based on the Ontario Soccer Development Model and integrated into the Ontario Player Pathway.
At the heart of MMU is a commitment to Long Term Player Development as prescribed by Ontario Soccer. Our programs are about putting the player first and offering age-appropriate opportunities for kids to enjoy the game of soccer.
All MMU programs strictly follow Ontario Soccer and Canada Soccer Grassroot Development Standards meaning all our programs are delivered by licensed coaches and coaching methodoligy and practice sessions are at the higher standards.
Mississippi Mills United is a proud signatory of the Responsible Coaching Movement (RCM) and is committed to providing a safe, positive and responsible sport environment for all participants. Community Access & Inclusion
Mississippi Mills United is committed to making soccer accessible to children throughout the communities we serve, including children who may face financial, social, cultural or other barriers to participation in organized sport. As part of our Community Access Initiative, MMU works with local schools and community organizations to introduce children to soccer in an accessible and welcoming environment. MMU provides free soccer clinics and introductory activities where possible, allowing children to experience organized soccer without requiring club membership or registration. In 2026, MMU coaches delivered free full-day soccer clinics at eight local elementary schools in our service area. These clinics introduced children to age-appropriate soccer activities, fundamental movement skills, individual ball skills and small-sided games. MMU will continue working with schools and community partners to identify opportunities to reach children who may otherwise have limited access to organized soccer, including newcomers to Canada and families experiencing financial barriers.
Financial Assistance
